Our Latest Promotions at D+B

 

We are proud to announce the latest promotions of some of our outstanding staff here at D+B. Each of these team members has made a meaningful impact on our organization, adding diversity of experience and expertise to our overall team, and continuing to drive our mission of serving the communities we live in through thoughtful design. We are thrilled to celebrate their work and achievements! 

Jaymi Alas, CID has been promoted to Senior Interior Designer. With 14 years of experience as an Interior Designer, Jaymi’s immense growth and ownership of her role at D+B provides focused mentorship and empowerment to her fellow colleagues. Jaymi excels at developing genuine connections with teammates and clients alike – a practice that fortifies her collaborative project management style. Whether coworkers, clients, consultants, or vendors, everyone who interacts with Jaymi has a fun, positive, and humor-filled experience. As a Senior Interior Designer, Jaymi’s broad range of market sector expertise and excellent problem-solving skills, combined with her unique blend of professionalism and fun, thoughtfully guide our clients and design teams through each phase of a project.  

 

Chris Holt, AIA, LEED BD+C has been promoted to Senior Associate, joining our leadership group. Chris brings more than 21 years of project management experience to the firm and has managed many of D+B’s most complex and key projects, including the recently completed Museum of Science and Curiosity in Sacramento. Chris is a valued and committed leader in the practice, delivering insightful, collaborative, and mindful stewardship of our projects and staff throughout our firm. Chris served 8 years on the AIACV Board of Directors (2020 President) and 11 years as a Planning Commissioner in the City of Woodland. This well-deserved promotion ensures that D+B will maintain and grow our reputation as innovative designers and planners, as well as trusted partners to our clients and communities.  

 

Tony Amato, AIA, LEED AP has been promoted to Associate. As a skilled and detail-oriented architect and project manager, Tony brings 14 years of experience leading projects ranging in both scale and complexity. He brings his passion for design, specifically integrated design, to all of his projects, encouraging and fostering collaboration with all team members. Tony has a deep passion for sustainability and environmental design, and is currently leading the firm’s sustainability efforts. His enthusiasm, passion, and leadership in the firm has increased awareness of the challenges ahead and has led us to implement new tools that strengthen our ability to address and respond to some of the most pressing issues affecting our projects, clients, and communities. Tony is an active member of the AIA and currently serves as co-chair for the AIACV Committee on the Environment. As an Associate of D+B, Tony looks forward to furthering our commitment and resolve to creating a more sustainable future.  

 

Ginger Thompson, AIA, LEED AP has been promoted to Associate. Ginger’s adherence to continuously advancing her education has been unparalleled, and her passion for learning as well as sharing practice knowledge is reflected in her dedication to the mentorship of young emerging professionals in the architectural industry. Ginger is an active member of the community; currently serving on the AIA CA Board of Directors as Associate Director, North, she is an active member of AIACV, as well as the CREATE mentorship board through the Construction Industry Education Foundation. She is regularly involved in professional events and speaking engagements, including leading a recent panel discussion on “Effective Collaboration” at the 2022 Western Pacific Regional DBIA Conference. As an Associate of D+B, Ginger’s ability to understand our client’s core values and success factors will remain invaluable in both pursuit efforts and project outcomes.        

 

Shawn Barba, has been promoted to Associate and is the first non-technical staff member to hold this title at D+B. As our firm’s Marketing Director, Shawn has been deeply involved with the firm’s leadership group and has played an instrumental role in supporting the firm’s governance, strategic initiatives and planning efforts, and strengthening our firm’s culture. Her dedication and commitment to her work, along with her superior organization and communication skills, has helped to secure dozens of important and impactful projects over the last five years. Joining our Associate group, Shawn will continue to advance our organization’s best practices in marketing, brand awareness, and thought leadership.  

 

Tuireann O’Neill has been promoted to Associate. Tuireann’s passion for design technology melds with his active curiosity in the way that buildings are detailed and constructed – creating his drive for both enhancing our design processes and our efficiencies. His skills and efforts advance our firm’s capacity for even higher quality outcomes, while helping us all work better and smarter by assuring continued excellence in the designs and documents that we produce. In addition to his technological mind, Tuireann brings a delightfully humorous, easy-going attitude that keeps the complicated learning process of technologies both approachable and palatable. Tuireann’s promotion to Associate reflects his commitment to the way we work and helps us to further elevate our production and the explorations in technology for which D+B is known. 

 

Jennifer Krauter, AIA, LEED AP has been promoted to Associate. Jennifer’s deep experience in the delivery of projects and entitlements, combined with her innate ability to build trust and relationships is why she is a favorite among many of our clients and partners. In addition to her effective connections to project partners, Jennifer brings a deeply held belief in mentorship and trust to guide and support our developing staff.  Her peaceful and equitable nature, combined with her approachable manner, supports our efforts to build strong project teams within our firm, adding immeasurably to our culture. As an Associate, we recognize Jennifer’s significant contributions and look forward to building even greater relationships with our clients.
