Sacramento International Airport is in the midst of a $1 billion expansion program that will dramatically change the nature of travel at this burgeoning international airport.

Passenger arrivals, departures and material handling will be handled and processed in separate, discreet facilities, for efficiency and security.

The RCRF will handle and distribute all materials arriving at the airport complex. “Landside” materials destined for hotels, offices ticketing and the like will be separated and distributed. “Airside” materials must pass through a special TSA screening area prior to distribution. The processing and storage wings feature precast concrete walls topped with Kalwall translucent panels for generous natural lighting in the work areas.

Dreyfuss & Blackford Architects has been involved in all stages of development and expansion at the Sacramento International Airport, from the original terminals through the present expansion.
