The Turlock Irrigation District is a regional water and power purveyor in the Central Valley. After 40 years of ad-hoc growth in facilities, TID decided to develop a consolidated Operations Yard in an industrial district west of the town center. We were commissioned to develop a program, short- and long-range growth projections, master planning and facility design.

Site facilities include administrative offices, vehicle maintenance, repair shops, materials management, covered and open storage, as well as a dedicated 24-hour Operations Center. The Ops Center is an essential services facility with all of the redundancy and security measures to meet Federal Standards.

We introduced an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach, to save TID time and money. The IPD design shaves nearly $20 million from the original budget, while reducing the construction schedule by nine months.
